This virtual event will kick off with an opening ceremony and team formation session. Participants will focus on one of three tracks throughout the weekend to strategically devise their solutions, which will be in the form of prototypes, proof of concepts, and a pitch outlining their early business and implementation model. Participants will get the chance to attend a variety of workshops, learn from mentors throughout the industry, and work in their teams to compete for cash prizes and a chance to work with local nonprofits to bring their idea to life. Tracks:
resource + ppe management
With the disruption of massive supply chains due to COVID 19, medical supply and equipment are in danger of running short when they are desperately needed. How can we reconnect local, regional, and global resources to support the ever growing need of equipment to slow down the spread?
diagnostic + testing
The healthcare system and government is struggling to meet the demands of COVID-19 testing. What are better methods and alternatives to current diagnostic techniques like RT-PCR that will allow us to keep up with the overwhelming demand and get patients the treatment they need?
mental health during covid 19
Staying at home and self-isolating can cause mental distress, anxiety, depression, and other uncontrollable urges. Health care workers are also facing emotional stress and a mental health crisis as these particularly vulnerable people battle on the front lines. How can we use technology to provide and offer support during these trying times to keep others safe while comforting our state of minds?
